Hi, I’m Lisette.
Lisette Rifenberg, M.S., CCC-SLP | Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist & FounderI’m a pediatric speech-language pathologist, mentor, and firm believer that becoming a confident clinician takes more than what you can learn in a classroom.
After more than a decade in the field, I founded Mentor Me SLP to give early-career clinicians the kind of real-world support that can be hard to find when you’re suddenly responsible for a caseload of your own.
There’s a difference between knowing the information and knowing what to do with it.
Clinical work is messy. Kids don’t follow treatment plans. Caseloads don’t organize themselves. Parents ask questions you weren’t expecting. Sometimes the goal you wrote looks great on paper and makes absolutely no sense once you’re sitting across from the person you’re supposed to help.
That’s where mentorship matters.
My approach has always been rooted in looking at the whole person, understanding the why behind what we’re seeing, and making clinical decisions that work in real life—not just in theory.
I’ve also been fortunate to know firsthand what great mentorship can do. Early in my career, I found a mentor who challenged me, supported me, and helped shape the clinician I became. More than a decade later, that relationship still influences the way I think, work, and mentor others.
Mentor Me SLP is, in many ways, my way of paying that forward—making sure early-career clinicians have someone in their corner as they begin figuring out what kind of clinician they want to become.
YOU DON’T HAVE TO FIGURE IT ALL OUT ALONE.
Mentorship shouldn’t be about giving you a script to follow. It should help you develop the clinical reasoning and confidence to trust yourself when there isn’t a script.
Whether you want ongoing support, a community of clinicians learning alongside you, or simply another SLP in your corner when you need one, Mentor Me SLP is here to help you grow into the clinician you’re becoming.
